lyrics
As the sun vanishes from sight
and the moon lights the way to her end
One last thread under the tree
Where she lies, at her grave, by her side
Years of torment, tears of anger
Pleas unanswered, left behind in the seams
He is lurking through the forest
She’s in danger, her own life, she will take
Thread of hope
Traced back to her mother
Thread of hope
Traced back to her murder
Laid down some flowers on her grave
Picked from the road on her way
She prayed for hope
That she’ll meet her on the other side
“Show me the way”
Autumn’s in black
The time has come
Her last good bye
Her parting kiss
As the moon descends from the hills
And the dawn, slowly creeps, shining bright
Hung lifeless from that tree
Swinging to the wind, side to side in plain sight
As he stood there looking at her
Smiling down, out of grip, lost control
Blood on his hands, rage in his eyes
Searing with hate, left alone, unfulfilled
Thread of hope
Traced back to her mother
Thread of hope
Traced back to her murder

Californian quartet defining themselves as Sci-Fi black metal, maybe due to cosmic and interstellar topics, sounding like blackened death metal too ("The Maw"). It's a well-balanced melodic black metal album, with some fast-paced tracks and nice rhythmic transitions reminding me of Swiss band Celtic Frost (e.g. Terminal Odyssey). In other words not overly dominated by drum speed and also not sounding as extreme or as raw as some BM can be. sachavonkarl74
